Nicole took Carter to the doctor this week for his 9 month checkup.
As you might expect he is in the 10-25%tile for hight, 25-50%tile for weight but 50-75%tile for head size. We're all about the big head in this family. In absolute numbers he's 27inches tall and weighs 19.5lbs.
Doc gave him two shots, which went over about as well as you would guess. Developmentally he's right in line with his age: sit up for long periods of time; pick up objects and pass them from one hand to the other; pull himself up to a stand and stay up while holding onto a couch, table, etc; and use a pincer grasp to pick up Cheerios and other small objects.
While he is scootching around a bunch, we're still waiting for the whole crawling thing. It seems he's more interested in watching Ryan move around than do so himself! This too shall pass. In the meantime we'll enjoy not having to chasing all around the house :)
